Brian Henderson

Brian is the Senior Pastor at First Baptist Jackson.  He holds a Bachelor of Sociology with a minor in Communications from the University of South Carolina Aiken. He holds two Masters degrees from Luther Rice Seminary – a Master of Arts in Leadership and a Master of Divinity.

Brian has a passion for missions and believes that the work of the church is to build the Kingdom through the love of Christ. Brian believes the goal of the church is to reach the community in which God has placed the church first and foremost, along with supporting and carrying the gospel to the outermost parts of the world. Brian believes this can only be the fruit of a healthy church, therefore it is imperative that the church balance local and distant missions in its endeavor to carry out the Great Commision. It is our goal not only to present the gospel, but create a discipling culture that reproduces disciples.

Brian also serves the community by actively volunteering with the Jackson Volunteer Fire Department.

Brian and his wife, Devin, grew up in Beech Island, SC, and they both are happy to back close to home. They have two daughters, Amelia and Kenslee.
